Working together for industry change. Avatar fills a critical gap in the energy innovation ecosystem by working with large oil and gas firms to champion solutions from within by engaging their staff. It creates a safe “third space” for energy companies and academia to collaborate and unlock new business opportunities. It’s a multi-faceted approach to solving the energy sector’s most challenging problems.

NABI (Northern Alberta Business Incubator) is a nonprofit business incubator created by the City of St. Albert in 1989 to provide entrepreneurs and small businesses with mentorship and support to launch, grow and establish and thereby cultivate entrepreneurship. NABI’s unique sector-agnostic incubator serves as a ‘growth’ catalyst for businesses that create/provide technological innovations, business services (legal, accounting, financing, IT, etc.), health and wellness products/services, renewable and non-renewable products/services, retail, engineering, and manufacturing.

Alberta Innovates is an Alberta government funded, integrated system of five agencies designed to be catalysts of innovation. They support research and the growth of business, help the startup community build new technology and drive new ideas.
